Take on the challenge of hiking Toubkal, a mountain peak in southwestern Morocco, located in the Toubkal National Park. At 4,167 metres, it is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco, North Africa and the Arab World. This hike requires no previous mountaineering experience. Finish the trek to the summit and back within 2 days and later explore city.

Day 1 : Imlil Trekking expand_more
Go to village of Imlil and begin the trek.
Head to the Mizane Valley, pass the village of Aremd and the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch.
Continue east and cross the flood plains and move up to the high rocky cliffs above the valley.
Cross a river and reach the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, a pre Islamic marabou shrine located at 2350 m altitude 5 km north of the peak of Jebel Toubkal.
Climb up to the snowline towards the Toukbal Refuge (3206m) and stop for the night.

Day 2 : Jebel Toukbal expand_more
Begin for the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Reach the south cirque, cross the stream above the refuge (altitude increases).
Reach the summit and enjoy the view of the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north and Anti-Atlas and the Sahara, far south.
Head back towards Imlil.
