As I planned to stay near Tomar, I wanted a private guide who would show me around the Templars Castle and the Convent of Christ, but the only guides I could find online were for group tours leaving from Lisbon.  I found Cecilia on this site, and decided to take a leap of faith even though she had no rating.

I could not be more happier with my decision. Cecilia was punctual, charming, infinitely knowledgeable,  and generous with her recommendations as to what to do after the guide.  Aside from the Covent of Christ and the Templar's Castle, she offered to  show us the aqueduct and the Santa Maria Church  (At one point, my husband, who was not used to parking with a stick shift had difficulty parking our car and she parked it for him).  She made our visit very worthwhile and memorable.
