Fantastic time in Morocco

Reviewed July 25, 2016

My time in Morocco was fantastic. Not only as the country is beautiful and the people so friendly, but because my tour group consisted of approachable, like minded individuals.. Hassan set the tone of the trip at the first meeting with his easy going, friendly personality. He balanced the role of friend and guide seamlessly through the entire trip, which made for a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere from the first day. I hope I am not the only one to say that Hassan  made this trip! He is also incredible accurate with his food recommendations.... I was really impressed with the individual guides we had in each city or site. They were knowledgeable without giving us too much information to remember, but always more than happy to discuss any topic further. Our group was rather curious (and chatty) so this led to some really interesting topics. I think it is also valuable to have time within the tours to be able to speak with regular Moroccans - I had some great conversation while in the Fes Medina I doubt would be possible on larger tours. The tour is listed as fast paced - and while I enjoyed all the travelling, it would have been nice to spend two nights at either of the locations in the High Atlas Mountains. It was the one area I felt we rushed through. I have already recommend  Hassan and his tours to family and friends! I have no doubt I will be back to Morocco after having such a fantastic time.

Toubkal trek - highest peak in North Africa

Reviewed July 25, 2016

Fantastic trek surrounded by stunning Moroccan countryside. The summit of Toubkal is 4167metres and is the highest peak in North Africa. Leaving from Marrakesh we completed the trek in two long days, led by Hassan who grew up within the foothills of Toubkal. We were very well supported throughout the trek, with a clear itinerary, good accommodation and provided with a range of Moroccan dishes throughout the trip. The views from the summit are incredible stretching right across Morocco and on a clear day with a view of the Sahara Desert. To enjoy this trip you do need to be quite fit, it involves a second day of up to 13 hours walking including an ascent of the summit before sunrise.

Hassan was brilliant, he really looked after us and tried hard to ensure we all enjoyed the trip.

Family Toubkal trek

Reviewed May 12, 2016

My family enjoyed the total immersion with the Atlas mountains. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the physical challenge, the wonderful food and the mountain goats.

The guide Hassan was excellent, he judged the pace of the walk perfectly and was lovely men- very warm, genuine individual with a good sense of humour and good with kids. He clearly loved and were very proud of their country.
