I highly recommend Philip Batia's Kokoda service. While it may not be the most professional or equipped, or knowledgeable about history, it is truly personal service. If you want to do the trek with friends instead of just guides then this is the place for you. His service is exceptional and prices are unbeatable and very flexible to your situation. My trek was a truly exceptional experience where I felt truly connected to the environment and the people that live there.
