Great Guide for Two Ladies

Reviewed September 5, 2022

My friend and I visited Paraguay for 5 days, and we hired Pedro as our guide. My friend found Pedro via this website, and we found all prices very fair.

Ok, what about Pedro as a guide? I will say I am biased as I was convinced the last trip and am considering on planning another trip with him next year. Pedro is an incredible resource of local history, religion, folklore, and politics. He's professional and enthusiatic about sharing today's Paraguay with visitors.

The best guide for Paraguay

Reviewed July 4, 2022

Pedro, AKA Peter, guided us through Ciudad del Este and through Iguazu Falls. We had an amazing time. Pedro  has an immense amount of knowledge of Paraguay and the country's  history. I will definitely be contacting Pedro again when I return to Paraguay. Thanks again Peter!

16 days round trip January 2020

Reviewed March 22, 2020

My trip to Paraguay followed my trip to Antarctica and was originally planned just to tick the box for visiting the countries of Latin America. It was a big problem to find enough information about the country and I decided to take a guide. In fact Pedro was the only one who responded ( and I suspect he is the only one in Paraguay ready for adventure trip. and thanks God he turned to be an ideal one). We planned the big round trip (16 days) starting and finishing in Iguazu,  now i would leave at least 20 days for it.  Pedro was ideal while preparing, he completely got my point (and I wanted to see as much as possible and to have it as tough as possible). While preparing I read all I could find  about the country history and was surprised and fascinated. So being a passionate trekker I still agreed to travel by car (there are no other possibilities and no trekking opportunities in the country, just short hikes are possible. All in all the Paraguay with Pedro turned to be  so great that I almost can not remember my Antarctica base camp experience. Pedro is English native speaker that makes communication very easy. Add fantastic knowledge and sense of humor - and you do not have any problems with long drives thast can easily become boring with other type of companion. Pedro is a very classical type of male ,  that we almost do not have now - he can easily and cheerfully fix any type of problem - technical or organizational - you feel yourself absolutely safe whatever happens. Sure travelling to Paraguay you need to be ready to change your plans from time to time - no car can survive kind of terrain in Chaco ( just washing the 4 wheel from the local mud took us 4 hours by 2 guys and professional equipment). But Paraguay is worth the mess!  And if you decide to go to long trip to Paraguay - go with Pedro.
