We enjoyed our tour with cecil very much! He explained the basics so it was easy to understand and also had a lot of specialized knowledge. The places we visited were very impressive. It was the "main attractions", but also impressive sites a bit off the the most common places. Both my Teenager and me would reccomend this tour! We communicated in german and that went very well, too. 

My son and I booked a last minute tour of Verdun on tourHQ  because we could not find from overseas any suitable or available dates during our week in France. Cecil is personable, knew how to tailor the tour based on our level of interest and knowledge of Verdun (my teenage son is a war history geek), and provided us tidbits of information that only a local with a vast library of critical research could muster.  We left wanting to return for more history, and will book Cecil for the next trips, as well.

The tour was very informative and respectful of the great tragedy of this battle. We opted for lunch at the restaurant located in the battlefield, and while the food was good, the service was very slow, and we lost a good bit of time.  It would have been better to have taken the sandwich option. I would definitely recommend Cecil as a guide.
