Exceptional experience!

Reviewed September 27, 2020

I was originally intending a day trip from Istanbul to see Göbekli Tepe, but Taha wisely encouraged me to spend the night in Urfa and see some of the other fascinating sites that the area has to offer.  We ended up visiting, among others, Mt Nemrut, the archaeological museum in Urfa (an excellent introduction to Gobekli Tepe and its historical context) and Taha's home town of Harran with its famous beehive houses.

I cannot adequately explain how helpful, understanding and informative Taha is: a truly outstanding guide! I am very keen to return and enjoy more time in his company.

Note: Do not feel anxious about visiting this region because it is close to Syria. I felt perfectly safe at all times and would happily recommend friends and family to visit the area with Taha as their guide.

AmazIng experience

Reviewed January 8, 2020

We spent a total of 2 days in Urfa. Taha was kind enough to pick us up from the airport and start our day promptly with the limited time we had. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and easy to speak with. I am planning to return and spend more time in this region in the future and without hesitation will be contacting Taha once again. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

Day Trip to Urfa from Istanbul

Reviewed January 3, 2020

We took a day trip to Urfa covering the following areas such as:

1) Hz. Eyup Sabir Makami

2) Balikligol (Plus the Mevlid-i Halil Cave + Halil Ul Rahman mosque + Castle of Urfa)

3) Urfa Bazar

4) Mutfak Muzesi

5) Gobekli Tepe and of course the local food.

I wish we have more time, for this place has a lot to offer.

Our guide Taha has been very informative and helpful, not to mention very patient for I cannot refrain myself from stopping by at several shops at the Bazar to shop.

Local food joint that he brought us to was great. We even had tea at the old caravanserai, inclusive of the famous menengic kahvesi which is the pistachio coffee.

All in, it was a good experience and the best was spent with a guide who was born and bred there.
