Murtaza was a guide a friend of mine from Gemany recommended to me. He is a really nice and cool guy. He showed me the most amazing places in Lushoto/Usambara - Mgamba Rainforest, Irente Viewpoint and Kisasa Waterfalls and he had the most amazing views (as you can see from my pictures). We had such a good time and so much fun. He gave some interesting facts about wildlife and nature and he always spotted the cameleons that I never saw, so that I coul have a closer look at them. (Since then I am addicted to Cameleons and there were so many of them..) But we had some really good talks also abot other topics; we discussed politics and philosophized about life on our trips and he had some pretty interesting insights. All in all, I can only recommend him as a guide. With the money he gets working as a guide, he is actually saving in order to be able to go to university and finance his studies, which is amazing and something I loved to support. Thank you for this amazing adventure @Murtaza! :) Greetings, Emilie

We spent two amazing days in Usambara Mountains together with Murtaza. He showed us the rainforest close to Lushoto as well as the Kisawa waterfalls. Murtaza is a great guide who loves his region and could answer all our questions. Our personal highlight was the picnic lunch on top of the rainforest with self-made Sambosa and Guacamole. Super delicious with a great view. 

Time planning and communication works perfect with Murtaza and he even helped to organize our bus ride from Lushoto to Arusha.

Murtaza is such a good and nice guide! We were a group of girls traveling to Usambara and Murtaza showed us in a tour the jungle, animals, historical aspects and the most beautiful spots. He answered all our questions, especally about the flora and fauna but also about the german history in Lushoto as we were all germans. He knows the best spot to eat lunch, look for animals und to have a nice view. He is from the Usambara mountains and you can feel how much he loves to live there and share his home with tourists.

He helped us also booking our bus, althogh it was not part of his job. Thank you for your help and the amazing time in Lushoto! I would highly recommend to book a tour with Murtaza :)

I had an amazing hike in the mountains with my friend Murtaza. Usambara Mountains, viewpoints, villages, rainforest, chameleons, waterfalls... In short, it was excellent to experience true African lifestyle along the fabulous scenery. I learned a lot about local plants and history from him. And, he knows where to stay and where to eat.
