Amazing experience provided by our professional and. Personable tour guide Derick.  This was a first time for me in Sri Lanka and an experience I will definately repeat.  Derick took great pride in showing us the sights of his country being both informative and passionate of his culture. A very knowledgable gentleman.  As a female traveller to a  new country my safety always felt secure and paramount. 100 percent recommend. Please book, I will again return. 

If you want to realize what you want to do, it is best to ask derick. I had a homestay for a month, but I enjoyed it every day. In addition, his family treat me like a family.

We (2 girls from Germany in their mid-20s) had an amazing holiday with Derick! We chose to drive with him because he was one of a few that gave us a fair price when inquiring in advance and he was recommended by a German travel Guide in Sri Lanka who he worked for. 

He was always driving safely and trying to accompany all of our needs in his very spacious and clean aur conditioned truck. One time he even went on a dirt road where only three wheelers can pass through and almost got stuck just because he wanted to get us safely to the beach that we wanted to see! He also picked us up in the middle of the night after we got scammed at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya and drove us all the way to Arugam Bay and back. 

For our national park visits, he organized the jeeps and guides which were always private and offering a very fair price comparing to other guided tours that we saw. His restaurant recommendations were nice and tasty and his English and knowledge of the country were also very good and made the trip easy and fun!

I can wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone that plans to take a tour with a driver.
