We  arrived at Kilimanjaro airport (JRO) with Mgalaa Expeditions  driver was there to pick us up and bring us to the hotel in Arusha , Masai land hotel.  The hotel was a great selection, it has a great view of the mountain on one side and the guides waited for us to have our bags dropped off before bringing us into the briefing even though we arrived later than the rest of our group.

The pre-brief was low threat, provided extra equipment for us (if needed) and thorough. Raph explained the whole trip to us, where we will be daily, what we will expect and was always laughing and smiling which put us all at ease.

The ride from Arusha to Moshi to the west side of the mountain was 4 hours, but it was entertaining the entire way.On the mountain, we were always kept informed and food, drinks and snacks were always provided for. After the second day, the guides, cook and waiters felt like family. The porters were very interactive with us they helped us with our bags when we needed help. This cycle continued until day 6 and the entire time the hikes were fun, well-paced and entertaining.On summit night, my buddy  experienced AMS and could not continue. One of the guides were smart and strong enough to stop him from continuing onwards and walked him two camps down to the final descent camp. Great call, some of the other companies had guides that just sat clients on the rocks, gave oxygen and then told them to continue climbing. We felt comfortable the whole time.I would highly recommend Mgalaa Expeditions for  any one  looking  to  hiking  Mt.kilimanjaro. 

We had a wonderful 8 day Safari through the Northern Circuit (Tanzania). The whole process, starting with first contact, the planning process, the safari itself, was perfectly executed.

Our consultant, Nema, advised us from our very first e-mail, helped us set-up tour itinerary and planned the whole trip from beginning to end.

We were very lucky to have Chris as our safari guide. Fantastic fun guy, Chris really KNOWS all the national parks, has incredible wealth of experience and you sometimes get the feel he knows the animals by name ;). Oh, and he makes sure, you get the best photo opportunities and positions to see your favorite animals :). He is a very good and safe driver as well.
