Aicha introduced us to all facets of Tunisia... When we were visiting ruins, I learned about the long ago... Aicha is a scholar and taught us much about that ancient world. She helped me look around, use my imagination, and bring those ruins to life. Fast forward to the present... She introduced us to life in modern Tunisia, the people and their everyday lives and I felt privileged to be able to share it. Aicha made this visit a trip to remember!

Bonjour, 7 ans que nous parcourons toute la TUNISIE avec AICHA BOUKARI comme guide indépendante en commençant par un voyage organisé puis des séjours prolongés (3 mois environ, 2 fois par an) et nous faisons toujours appelle à elle pour son professionnalisme et notre plus grand plaisir. AICHA est une personne très dynamique qui se met à la portée de tous ses touristes et qui a une connaissance approfondie de son pays la TUNISIE, polyglotte et surtout un anglais parfait, sans oublier le français, elle prend le temps nécessaire de demander à tous s'ils vont bien et si ses explications ont convenu à tous, elle n'hésite pas à les compléter le cas échéant,merci Aicha et merci a toute la famille qui nous as toujours reçu a bras ouvert.

My husband and I, in our 60's, had a fabulous tour with Aicha. Many times I said, "we would never have this experience, see this, do that" on our own. She is incredibly knowledgeable, sincere, and educated about her culture. 3 years later, I often say, that is the best trip we ever took..and we are well travelled. Aicha was our trip leader when we toured Tunisia in 2011 with Overseas Adventure Travel. She was wonderful in every way ... charming, friendly, thoughtful and very knowledgeable about the culture, history and politics of Tunisia. It was obvious that she loves her country and she made us love it too. We could not possibly have had a better guide. OAT is known for providing their travelers with the best trip leaders that a country has to offer and Aicha ranked as one of the best that we've had on our many trips with O.A.T. ( 16 trips so far ... and counting). She was attentive and took note of things that we mentioned. She found out that most of our group loved ice cream, especially banana splits ,which is not a common dish in Tunisia. She managed to have the chef at our farewell dinner serve us banana splits for dessert. It was a great surprise that we all enjoyed ... a small thing but an example of her attention to detail. We had the opportunity to visit Aicha's family in their apartment. She and her mother taught us how to make Brik and we cooked and ate and laughed together. This was the kind of warm and personal experience that makes a trip to a foreign country special. Thank you Aicha! We LOVED Tiunisia and YOU!
