We had the same experience as other reviewers - every moment when Sergio was in charge was interesting, relaxing and fun. We were worried we wouldn’t get an authentic Costa Rican experience being in a group - but we shouldn’t have been with Sergio leading! Our favourite times we’re off the beaten track (literally) looking at wildlife away from other hordes of tourists and eating amazing food in local sodas. 14 of us went to Costa Rica for an “experience” and boy did we have one! Sergio was amazing to all of us. He planned, educated, suggested, so many wonderful excursions. We zip lined, hiked to waterfalls, river rafted, went sight seeing, rode quads to the Rainmaker and saw so many beautiful things! Sergio knew the flora, the animals, the best foods, the history, and funny tidbits. We hit the jackpot with Sergio as our guide.  100% satisfaction and Costa Rica is incredible!

On my trip to Costa Rica I was unsure of where to go, what to do, what to eat. Sergio eased my mind immediately. On our trip from the airport to our destination, he was pointing out things and explaining them in detail. It seems he knew everything there is to know about Costa Rica. He suggested excursions to do and the best ones to go to.  He suggested Zip Lining and knew exactly where to go. He took us to some off the beaten paths for food that i would never have found myself and was always happy with his suggestions. For example on our last night he took us to a hillside place to eat that over looked downtown San Jose. Very beautiful and excellent food. Sergio is such a nice person as well and will talk to you and treat you with respect. If i ever visit Costa Rica again, i will definetly be having him as my guide again. Thank you Sergio. Sergio’s passion for his culture and country can’t be surpassed. He is very knowledgeable about the geography, sociology, and history of Costa Rica, and conveys this knowledge very well. His English is excellent. He also has a great sense of humor and is socially sensitive; from the very beginning of the tour, he was able to help us all feel comfortable in an unfamiliar country. This trip felt more like an outing with good friends than it did an organized tour. Not to say that it wasn’t organized – it was very well planned!

Sergio knows his business, but also has a gift for helping people to feel relaxed and have fun. I hope to travel with him again!
