I, as an American, was a little wary given this would be my first trip. But I found a country that embraced this American. I just could not believe how many people, when they found I was American, would embrace me. Totally amazing. I got this experience from Majid. He introduced me to a country that is never showned on TV. Through Majid, I got to know a country that is filled with people that smile and always...ALWAYS...place their hand over their heart as a greeting. A greeting from the heart. I will never forget my trip. Majid has given me memories that will last the rest of my time on the planet. He did not just make the trip easy, more importantly, he made the trip something that will last a lifetime.

Majid gave us a wonderful tour of Iran. He was a gracious, considerate and knowledgeable host, who ensured that we got a tour tailored to our interests. His extensive knowledge of the historical sights was matched by his grasp of the diverse natural history and geography of Iran. He exceeded our expectations many times, including during our tour of Persepolis and during a day trip to the desert. All this was enhanced by the diverse sound track that he provided during the drives! If you want to do a trip that will live with you always, I suggest you get in touch with Persia Explorer ASAP.

The best way to see Iran is with Majid. We had a fantastic 5 days touring the sites of Shiraz and Isfahan and took in the ancient city of Persepolis. Iran is truly amazing and although Majid is an eco-guide, he is equally at home explaining the complex history of this fascinating country. He is also so well-connected, that he brought a special friend to come with us around Persepolis, who turned out to be one of the site’s archaeologists! I loved the bazaars and managed to buy lots of lovely things unique to Iran, including jewellery. The palaces, gardens and mosques were also fascinating. Originally we planned to go to Tehran, but we decided instead to go into the desert west of Isfahan, a real contrast to the city. We ended the day watching the sunset over the sand dunes. Majid makes Iran an easy place to visit. He is a lovely guy, competent and knowledgeable – what more could you want?
We had the most experiencing and interesting tour in the desert lands between Isfahan and Yazd. Majid and his friend Mehran took us in their SUVs trough desert lands, sand dunes, salt lakes, medieval cities, Zaratustrian temples and villages, and did this with perfection, sensitivity and awareness of our expectations and wishes for the tour. Several things could be pointed out, but the stay in the desert, where Majid had arranged barbeque, Iranian cuisine, self-made thé, and sun-rise in the morning, is and experience that will never vanish from my memory. It is clear that Majid with his experience as a rock climber and planner of trekking adventures has the skills and knowledge to arrange a program that meets expectations and timeline. I will at any time, recommend Majid and his Persian Adventures to everyone going to Iran.
