Dam was an extraordinary tourist guide during our road trip of 13 days through sri lanka. We travelled by all country doing more 1500Km. Each day was special and full of activities thanks to the very well done planning of Dam. We have discouvered an amazing country, relishing of moments wheater of learning about the culture, understanding about the meaning of boudism, visiting beautiful temples, climbing big mountains, tasting good food, enjoying the nature, having fun at the beach... It was a perfect combination of adventure, fun and culture. Thank you Dam for your contributon because you made our journey unforgettable!

I strongly recommend Dam as THE guide for Sri Lanka. He was the best surprise and our best friend there. He knows everything about Sri Lanka and its culture, he knows the best places to see and to eat. Apart from being a guide, he is a guard, keeping you and your stuff safe all the time. He is a driver, he is a teacher, he is a translator and most important, he will be your best friend there, and someone that you will miss. 

Overall, he will give you an entire and complete amazing experience in this land like no other and he deserves to be the number 1 guide of the world!

I am not the kind of person to leave a review ever in any website, but after I experience this trip with Dam I feel stoke for, the country, this experience, and above all for the knowledge and friendliness of Dam.

My friends and I we went around Sri Lanka for 14 days, we went from top to bottom, sleeping every single night in a different place and Dam was always flexible with our requirements. Any kind of challenge that we faced he always had a plan B, because of him we could experience Sri Lanka 100,000 times more than if we had gone by ourselves. 

Finally, the part that really pazzled me was his knowledge about all the things that we passed by and the meaning/history of it.

To everyone that is planning to do a trip to SRI LANKA it is without a doubt that i strong recommend Dam!

If I would need to describe Dam in one word would be NADI (the word used by Sri Lankan people to describe a person that antecipates your needs/reads your mind)! 

Very intelligent, polite and nice guy!! Takes you to best places and knows all the good tips that only a local person would know!

Wouldn't recommend to see Sri Lanka without Dam! You definitely need his pleasant company and his knowledge!

Our "homecoming" to Sri Lanka is de facto 4 years in the making and finally we were able to make it this May 2017!

My fiance and I were initially planning to hire and drive a private car to surprise our good old friends, colleagues, and most especially our "second" family living in Nugegoda.

Opportunely, we got referred to Shan Tours & Travels by a good friend in Maldives - apart from their van and car hire services, they offer hassle-freetrips to the best scenic spots and unique tourist destinations across the so-called Wonder of Asia. From Colombo to Galle at the South then all the way up to Nuwara Eliya and Kandy, every stop made us appreciate the warmth and hospitality of the people, tasty cuisine and delicacies, as well as the rich Sri Lankan culture and heritage, 

It's a remiss to call this trip the best one, if I didn't mention Shan Tour's very own Damith Dilshan, the best Tour Guide in town, rather, of the whole country! Dam is a without a doubt a charmer in every... awesome... way! He made our holiday more exciting, memorable, and truly an unforgettable one! Further, he exemplified not just the dedication for his job but the love and devotion for his own country. The way he presented himself, described the places, and responded to our serious, tricky and silly questions were absolutely fantastic! As professional as he may seem, Dam further went beyond his duties to assist us. His personal recommendations were defo helpful, too!
