Thulasizwe is an excellent guide for this tour. He is very knowledgeable and he lives in Soweto so he knows and understands the community. He provided a wide variety of experiences in Soweto including a visit to a home and to Kliptown Youth Program including the crèche (2 to 4 year olds) which was inspiring and uplifting. We were able to go to Regina Mundi Church, Vilakazi street withandela’s house plus see Hector Pieterson Memorial Square and visit the Museum . Thulasizwe provided us with a thorough history of the apartheid era and the anti apartheid movement to deepen our understanding. Thulasizwe was very professional and paced the tour well so we did not feel rushed. He provided a very memorable day for us. We highly recommend Thulasizwe as a tour guide!

I can´t imagine experiencing Johannesburg and Soweto without this man! He made my stay so unique, so worth it! I came to Johannesburg after reading so many negative and scary things and did not dare to explore the city on my own so I  looked for a lisenced tour guide and came across Thilasizwe, I wrote him and gave him a list of places that I would love to visit and he was willing to fulfil my wishes (he even arranged the visit to the Orlando Child Orphanage for me). I have learned a lot about the history of South Africa and I would not exaggerate if I say that he is the best tour guide I have ever had so far!! Truly an outstanding guide.  My wife and I booked a one day tour of Johannesburg and Soweto with Sizwe.  We learned so much and had such an amazing experience from  this enthusiast and passionate person.  Not only did we do the typical tourist sites with outstanding commentary, but Sizwe took us throughout Soweto (his home town) to give us an incredible perspective on the history of South Africa, apartheid, the culture, the local food and so much more. An incredible highlight was a visit to a Soweto Youth Program where we saw the joy our gift of a couple of soccer balls brought to the impoverished children who are trying so hard, with the help of some very dedicated people, to improve their lives.  Every minute of the day we felt totally safe.  It seems like Sizwe knows  everyone.  He is truly our Zulu warrior. Book with Sizwe for an experience like no other. Why isn’t there a six star rating? He deserves it. Certainly one of the most memorable days of our trip.

It was a wonderful day thanks to Thulasizwe. I made us comfortable and was very well prepared on all the aspect of central Johannesburg.  Once reaching Soweto we could feel his passion about the area and the way he was explaining us the details of the town it was making feeling the Soweto soul in deep.

Charles went out of his way to help us as we arrived in Jo'burg for the first time. He stopped for us to get food and feed a small baby. He helped us pick up our hire cars. Was on time and pleasant company.
