An expert guide in Tunis

Reviewed July 17, 2023

I visited Tunis in the course of a cruise  with my entire family, including 8 children, and in the limited time we had we wanted to see as much as we could. Mohamed was a wonderful surprise! In the first place, his Spanish was totally fluent, but most important, Mohamed is truly a top level historian.  His knowledge of history, not only of his country, and art was well above the average for tour guides. He acquainted us with the history of ancient Carthage, and also with the current social, political and economic issues of present day Tunis. Listening to his explanations was a real priviledge! was a priviledge

Carthage, Medina and Bardo Museum

In a word..amazing. We were unbelievably fortunate to book Mohamed, and at relatively short notice. His initial communication was prompt and clear, and although his rate was more than the other offer we got, I feel he was definitely  worth every dinar.

His background of anthropology and social linguistics  meant that we got way more than just a site-seeing tour..it was an education. His depth of knowledge is incredible and he is able to convey it in an interesting and often humorous manner. He is very accommodating and will tailor your day to what you need and endeavor to give you the best possible experience. He spent more time than our contracted tour and even bought us lunch at a local eatery on the way to the Medina, and  this experience way exceeded our expectations.

I would highly recommend him.
