We were approached by Hassan in the souks near Mellah, near the Spice Market.

He offered quadbiking excursions which my friends and I were interested in. We were impressed with his english and found him friendly so we accepted. The quadbiking went fine and we asked if Hassan could provide the driver and minibus for the night-time and give us a tour of some nightclubs - this was the worst mistake we couldv'e possibly made.

We went to a bar and for some reason Hassan followed us in even though we told him he wasn't really invited. He then got drunk very quickly and became extremely abusive to the other customers at the bar. Before long he had picked up a chair and threw it at another customer who had apparently "stole his girlfriend". We were in complete shock.

Bouncers had come upstairs ready to beat all of us up and kick us out, luckily for us there was a waitress who spoke excellent English and we had explained to her exactly who Hassan was and how we had met him and that he was not with us. She had told the bouncers and they ejected him from the bar, she then told us she is aware of Hassan as a local troublemaker and we should be wary.

We then got a call of Hassan to say that we owed him money, in order to not escalate any trouble we met him and paid what was owed. He then became extremely aggressive and threatening stating that we owed him more. In order not to cause any more trouble and to be done with him, we paid.

I never normally write reviews but I have gone out of my way as to make a public service announement to anyone visiting Marrakech, Morocco - Stay away from Hassan Irizan. He was easily the worst experience we had on our holiday by far. The worst tourguide who was aggressive, abusive, offensive, racist, threatening and just an embarassment to the otherwise lovely Moroccan people.

Keep away.
