Taking the Hanoi tour this way was extremely convenient. Our guide, Ly, was lovely. We didn't have to worry about getting tickets or researching where to go and when. She tailored the itinerary to our needs - since we wanted to visit a local market and grab some coffee, she took us everywhere we asked. The trip to Ha Long Bay was a real highlight. We had a large, comfortable boat that was only half-full, so it didn't feel crowded at all. The weather could have been better, but you can't control that. Overall, we were very satisfied and definitely recommend it!

I wrote specifically requesting to spend lots of time at the Hydroelectric Dam at Hoa Binh and the tour guide made sure that is exactly what we did! The tour guide is very knowledgeable about the area and Vietnam in general. If you are looking for a deeper experience and want to know more about the culture and history of Vietnam, the hydroelectric dam, and the mường people, he is definitely the best option.
