We tour many places in the world and this tour was one of the best for several reasons. Firstly we made a new friend in our guide Shaher who was first class in knowledge, story telling and being able to navigate the desert with expert driving through the dunes of the desert to the difficult terrain of the oasis valley. Shaher took us to such historic places following what is believed to be the trail of Moses and his tribe from the Red Sea crossing to the split rock, the well of the two women, the 3000 tombs of the Israelites and finally what could very well be the real mount Sinai. He also gave us such great experiences with crazy 4x4 experience driving way out in the dunes to see a fabulous sunset, driving through the oasis stream beds to have conversations with camels (feeding them dates helped). All in the comfort of a vip Land Cruiser. Shaher goes beyond the tour by taking us to unique restaurants which represent the local culture, Bedouin history and even introduced us to the owners for fun conversations and laughs. The next surprise was in Saudia Arabia itself, such a beautiful country, great people with so much to see. We feel we also made a great friend of this country and will come back. The last surprise was in our expectations as this is how we determine if a tour is truly excellent. This tour guide and his tour far exceeded all expectations, Shahere really made such a difference, and what one casually reads about this great country is not even close to the experiencing it for yourself. Firstly, I Thank you Mr.Shaher - an excellent and professional tour guide Upon arrival we are warmly welcomed and Greeted by Mr.Shaher and created an friendly atmosphere. Through out the trip Mr.Shaher has given more detailed experience on the visited places. His Knowledge through out the trip was amazing and he given more than the expected experience. He is very flexible and down to earth person and also having a good humour. My family is so comfortable on the entire trip and especially my 18 months old baby had a good companion with him. Golden Calf, Moses Altar, 12 Pillars, Split Rock, Jethoros, Mt.Sinai, Moses Well, Red Sea - he explained with history to our family and we are able to co relate with bible. Mr. Shaher - is an RECOMMEDED guide, if you are planning to travel in Saudi Arabia. My Brother, hope I will again plan a trip.
