Meliva will do whatever he can to make your day enjoyable.  He will plan your days activities to be whatever you request.

My husband and I arrived by cruise ship.  The cruise ship changed the time we were arriving a few days before our arrival and Meliva told us it would not be a problem.  On the day before our arrival he reached out to confirm where he was going to meet us, he wanted to make sure that if we didn't have internet we knew how to find him.  Our ship ended up being 3 hrs late and then didn't follow the port protocols leaving us in an unexpected location creating absolute caos resulting in other passengers not being let off the boat.  Meliva came to the new location to pick us up and adjusted the plans for the day. There were two other groups he was coordinating for the day and he made sure the French speakers had a French speaking guide.  His English was clear and he has a masters in English and you will have no problem understanding him and he has no issues in understanding you.  He took the US Dollar payment immediately on our arrival to a bank/ shopping center to exchange it for  the local West African Currency so that he had whatever cash was needed for the day.

He does not have his own vehicle so he uses a local service to pick you up and take you arround for the day.  He made sure that there was AC in the vehicle  when it arrived (although in  over 90 degree weather it was still warm in the car so you need to be prepared).  He took us to a market to see the wood work of locals and he would bargin the price on our behalf.  He told us that if you are white they assume you are rich and raise the prices so he was able to get the price down significantly.     During the trip he would purchase water and other drinks from the vendors for us to have.

If you are looking for a local person to take you around and act on your behalf he is a good person to hire.  He is a gentelman in every way and you will be treated accordingliy.  He puts his all into providing you a nice day and will do everything he can to deal with any obsticles that come up.
