It’s hard for me to find strong enough words of praise to describe the touring experience I had with Waqas. I was nervous about making a solo trip to a challenging destination such as Pakistan. But Waqas was with me every step of the way, from airport pick up to drop off. All 6 days in Pakistan were fun and amazing adventures with him as I learned about the people, geography and history of this amazing country. Every whim of mine was met: we went to four different post offices so I could mail post cards. He found the right man in the bazaar to sell me the items I wanted to buy. We tried street food, rode the cable car to the top of the mountain, saw the national shrines and because of this, my experience in Pakistan highly exceeded my expectations. Waqas was not only a guide, he was a good guy and fun to be with. That’s important when you will spend a lot of time with a guide. Oh, and one more very big thing. When I was in Pakistan, war broke out when India attacked. It was a scary time, and my airline cancelled service out of Pakistan. Waqas was there for me every minute of this ordeal. He was constantly in contact with the airport and airlines during the changing situation, and when Qatar Air cancelled my flight eventually, he personally found a way for me to get out, somehow getting me on a domestic flight from Islamabad to Karachi and using his own money to purchase that ticket. Can you imagine such reliability? From Karachi I was able to get out, but he waited at the airport for me until my flight took off and then monitored me until I was completely out o Pakistan. Waqas was a great guide from the beginning. Great communication which gave us all the security that we needed. The whole day was filled with interesting facts about Not only Taxila but life in Pakistan in general. He was very thorough with his explanations and always provided context for every situation. Having a young family and wanting to explore Pakistan without the reliance on family members we sought the services of Mr Ahmed. Mr Ahmed was great in his service, collected us from the airport on the first day, planned our schedule with our full input and we explored lots in Islamabad, and Lahore. we were concerned about safety initially, but Mr Ahmed ensured we were always safe, escorted us everywhere personally, took care of having our 3 children with us (all under 13). he always turned up on time in the morning and after full days of excursions, shopping and eating out he would drop us off at the hotel. The vehicles were comfortable and we always got enough rest for the children. if you are ever thinking of visiting Pakistan and want a safe and sound holiday, I would highly recommend Mr Ahmed. Our 10 day trip was remarkable, which we will always remember and Mr Ahmed was easy going down to earth person who always took our lead.
