Nicolas is the best guide in the world!! I dont know why you rank him no 2.  He is the best.

I arrived in Punta Arenas via cruise line and only had ~7 hours ashore. I very much enjoyed yesterday's hike with Nicolás. Unlike so many hikes that barely increase heart rate or extend more than a short distance, Nicolás took me on exclusive trails through forested and grassy regions enroute to the top of a couple regional mountains. Throughout the trip, I was educated about the region's plants, animals and history. Nicolás' English is excellent as he has spent time in the US and elsewhere. He is also an avid moutain biker who leads tours. If you are looking for a more serious trek thru the region, I would highly recommend Nicolás (and Alaska, his accompanying dog). 

We needed an activity while waiting for our Antarctica Cruise and Nicolas put together a great day. We hiked a local mountain with his adorable puppy. Very easy going guide very organized would definitely recommend.
