Our tour covered Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick's Elephant Orphanage, Langata Giraffe Centre and the Karen Blixen Museum, our guide was Peter and he made our day a memorable one. Peter was a great guide and we could tell he was passionate about the wildlife in the park and shared our love of photography so he was patient and ensured we got some great close up shots of the wildlife. Even if you are due to go on safari elsewhere I would recommend staying a couple of days in Nairobi and making the short distance to Nairobi National Park, it really is quite unique seeing the backdrop of Nairobi in the background. Peter was really informative about the wildlife we saw and the places we visited throughout the day, he was open to answering all the questions we had and was insightful about life and culture within Kenya. The Elephant Orphanage is really good to visit if you like elephants you get to see them feeding and learn about all the good work the centre is doing. The Giraffe Centre is also abit unique where else can you get so close up to a giraffe and actually feed them. If you have read the book or watched the film Out of Africa I would recommend also adding the Karen Blixen to your day tour. Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending Peter, he was friendly, knowledgeable, insightful and made us smile throughout our day tour.
