I have been lucky enough to have Kami as my guide twice. Once was with my father and two brothers crossing over the 3 passes on our way to Everest Base Camp in May 2013. The other was a solo summit of Island Peak in April 2014. I cant say enough good things about him. His knowledge of the area and the people meant we never felt like strangers in the villages we passed through. And his technical skills meant we could handle any situation that arose. He was able to cater our trek to our goals and make adjustments as needed on the trail. As for my summit of Island Peak, this was my first attempt out mountaineering having spent my previous visits to Nepal trekking. Kami's climbing experience, his ability to teach me the skills needed to climb safely and his patience made all the difference to my summit being a success. His passion to do all he could for us and to learn what he could improve on is without question. If you are lucky enough to have Kami as your guide you are in good hands.
