I’m a Manhattan resident originally from small-town upstate New York.Married, dog and cat owner, walker, cyclist and explorer, I love history, eating out, architecture - especially art deco - technology and engineering, fashion, broadcasting and show biz, and learning details of present and historic life in NYC, to better put together the magnificent puzzle that is New York City.
After working for several years in news and PR, I became a licensed sightseeing guide.Since then I’ve given tours by bus, bike, and on foot.I have created or learned MANY walking tours in Manhattan, each about 2 hours long:
•Times Square-Rockefeller-Grand Central
•Central Park
•American Museum of Natural History
•Flatiron District
•September 11th memorials
•Financial District
•American Revolution
•High Line Park
•Chinatown ancient and modern
•Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO
•Wall Street
•Washington Heights
•Fort Tryon Park and Cloisters Museum
•Geology of north Manhattan
•Midtown Rocks! Beautiful building stone
•Midtown art deco
•Superhero movies
•Ghostbusters
•Sex And The City
•Showbiz! Media, music, and promotion for 100 years of Broadway
And an 8-hour walking-bus-subway comprehensive tour of Manhattan, from Central Park to Battery Park.It shows how to ride the subways and buses, layout of Manhattan, the city's 400-year development, important buildings, stories of famous residents, and many movie scenes.
I volunteered after September 11, and tell personal stories of the World Trade Center. I’d love to meet you, and show you the fabulous city of New York.
