As a life-long educator and broadcaster, Jim has devoted his life to helping curious people to better understand the world in which they live.In particular, his work in designing travel experiences for public radio members has stimulated his desire to continue guiding travelers in his semi-[sensitive content]uring with curious people energizes Jim, and creates the opportunity to infuse travelers with the sense of joy and wonderment that comes with experiencing the unknown.
Jim has toured travelers throughout New Orleans, as well as Europe and Latin America.A passionate bicyclist, he is not a racer.Rather, he loves bicycle touring, and has toured the 200km Portuguese section of the Camino de Santiago on a manual bike.He especially loves to see people renew their love for bicycling, even after perhaps many years away from the pedals.
A seasoned broadcast journalist, Jim particularly enjoys researching the hidden stories of New Orleans – designing new ways of making its history come alive for visitors to the Crescent City.He can provide tours in English, Spanish, and Italian.
Jim hold’s bachelors and masters degrees in communication, along with a Ph.D.in Philosophy of Education.
