Private Tour Guide In
Dallas

I give excellent Dallas Architectural and Cultural Tours. I became a member of the  Dallas Fort Worth Area Tour Guide Association after retiring from a successful 26-year career as a City of Dallas Urban Planner and their Historic Preservation Officer.  I have personal knowledge of Downtown Dallas and deliver unique personal tours of many of my past city projects including Dealey Plaza, the site of the John F. Kennedy assassination, and Dallas’ exciting Intown Housing Program which transformed downtown with adaptive reuse of 30 historic buildings. This Dallas renaissance included the creation of the three new parks on Main Street and the Klyde Warren Park located on a five-block freeway bridge. This park successfully connects the Uptown neighborhood to the downtown Art District, the largest in the nation. My tour can include the adjacent urban neighborhoods; Ross Perot's Victory Park at the American Airlines Center, the fashionable Uptown residential district, funky Deep Ellum, Swiss Avenue historic mansions, and Art Deco exposition park- Fair Park; site of the only remaining 1930's Word's Fair, the Texas Centennial. It is also possible to cross over the new Margaret Hunt Bridge designed by Santiago Calatrava. Additional details of these destinations and more of my tour offerings can be found on my tour page.
