Day by day

The itinerary

1
Day 01

Cusco City Tour and Inca Sites

  • Upon arrival, our staff will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel, where you can acclimate.
  • At 1:40 p.m., we will meet to start the city tour in the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, from where we will begin our visit.
  • First, we will visit the Qoricancha Temple. It was built on the base of an Inca foundation where the "sun" god was worshipped, and the Inca walls are still preserved.
  • Then, we will continue to Sacsayhuamán Fortress, famous for its enormous polished and moulded stones, some of which are 9 meters high and weigh 350 tons.
  • We continue to the military center of Puca Pucara, the control and military center of the Incas.
  • Finally, we will visit the Tambomachay Temple. This monument is known as "El Baño de la Ñusta" due to the existence of two aqueducts that carry crystal-clear water throughout the year.

Day 02

Moray, Maras and Salineras Tour

  • We start with pickup from your hotel at 8:30 a.m.
  • We will head to Maras, Moray, and Salineras on a colourful tour, passing through very typical villages and beautiful landscapes that we can enjoy along the way.
  • We will visit the archaeological complex of Moray, located 7 km southwest of Maras. It is currently known for a set of huge terraces that overlap concentrically in a gigantic pit. In ancient times, these beautiful terraces served as a laboratory during the Inca period.
  • Then we will go to the village of Maras. Today, this town has attractions from the pre-Hispanic, colonial, and republican periods.
  • Finally, we will visit the "Salt Mines," known as "Salineras." They are currently worked to produce salt and were also exploited in Inca and colonial times. There are approximately 3,000 wells, each with an average area of about 5 m².
  • After our visit, we will return to the city of Cusco.

Day 03

Humantay Lagoon Hike

  • We will pick you up from your hotel between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. and take you to the tourist bus that will bring you to the town of Mollepata.
  • The trip takes approximately 2 hours, where we will have our delicious breakfast. Then we will continue by bus for another hour to Soraypampa, where we will get ready for our hike.
  • The hike to Humantay Lagoon usually takes about an hour and a half.
  • Afterwards, we will visit the lagoon and enjoy the view of Humantay Mountain with our guide, who will explain this magnificent place to us.
  • Then we will start our way back to Soraypampa to enjoy a delicious lunch and return to the city of Cusco.

Day 04

Rainbow Mountain Adventure

  • Pickup from your hotel will be between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
  • Then we will begin our trip to the south of Cusco. After an hour and a half of travel, we will arrive at our first stop in the district of Cusipata, where we will have breakfast.
  • After breakfast, we will continue our trip for another hour on an unpaved road. Upon arriving at the foothills of the Cordillera Vinicunca, we will begin the hike of approximately an hour and a half, appreciating beautiful landscapes full of streams, mountains, lagoons, snow-capped peaks, flora, and fauna.
  • Once we reach our desired destination at 5,020 m.a.s.l., the Mountain of Colours, we will have approximately 30 to 40 minutes on the mountain.
  • After the visit, we will return to the bus and head back to Cusipata, where a delicious menu awaits to comfort us.
  • Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Day 05

Sacred Valley Tour to Aguas Calientes

  • Pickup from the hotel will be at approximately 8:20 a.m. We will leave Cusco at 9:00 a.m. on our way to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
  • We begin with a visit to Corao and then travel along the Vilcanota River for a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
  • After arriving in Pisaq, we will visit the archaeological center of Pisaq, famous for its terraces built on the slopes of the hill.
  • Afterwards, we will head to Urubamba, where we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley of the Incas (Inka House buffet menu).
  • After lunch, we will continue our trip along the Vilcanota River to visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress. It was built to guard against jungle invaders.
  • Then, we will go to Ollantaytambo station to take the train to Machu Picchu.
  • After an hour and 40 minutes on the train, while enjoying the beautiful landscapes surrounding the entrance to the town of Aguas Calientes, we will arrive at the Machu Picchu train station, where the transfer will be waiting to take us to the hotel.
  • At the hotel, the guide will give the necessary indications for the visit to Machu Picchu.

Day 06

Guided Visit to Machu Picchu

  • Very early, after breakfast at the hotel, we will go to the bus station that will take us up a zigzag road for 40 minutes to reach the wonder of the world, "The Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu," known as "The Lost City of the Incas."
  • Once in the citadel of Machu Picchu, we will begin our guided excursion for approximately two hours.
  • Then you will have free time before returning to town, where you can walk through the citadel and have your meals in one of the restaurants in Aguas Calientes.
  • Afterwards, we will go to the Machu Picchu train station 30 minutes before the train departs for Ollantaytambo.
  • Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, our transfer will be waiting to take you to the city of Cusco (Regocijo Square).

Day 07

Departure from Cusco

  • After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport or bus station.
