Day 01
Mountain Biking from Cruzpata to Moray, Maras and Urubamba
- At 8:00 am, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Cruzpata branch, where you will receive a brief explanation and instructions on using the bicycles and the route.
- From here, we will begin our bicycle adventure through Maras and Moray.
- From the town of Cruzpata, we will start the bike tour along the affirmed road, enjoying the landscapes and fields of crops.
- Take a short rest near Huaypo Lagoon, located at an altitude of 3500 masl. To reach the platforms of Moray, we will ride for approximately 1 hour by bicycle.
- Upon arrival at Moray, we will appreciate its circular platforms built in gigantic holes, used by the Incas as an agricultural research center.
- After visiting the Andenes de Moray, we will continue the Maras Moray bicycle tour toward the typical town of Maras, with its colonial-era buildings.
- From here, we will continue down a descending road section intended for experienced riders.
- After appreciating the salt mines, or Salineras de Maras, we can ride a semi-downhill section recommended for those who have fully mastered the bicycle.
- After the last descent, we will continue the bicycle tour for about 25 minutes until we reach Urubamba, and from there, we will take the bus back to the city of Cusco.
