The itinerary

1
Day 01

Cusco City Tour and Archaeological Sites

  • Arrive at the airport or bus terminal and transfer to the hotel of your choice.
  • At 1:40 p.m., we will meet in the main square of Cusco. From here, we will go to the Convent of Santo Domingo, built over the famous Temple of the Qoricancha.
  • Then we will head to the outskirts of the city to appreciate the surrounding archaeological remains, such as Qenqo, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and the Fortaleza de Sacsayhuamán.
  • Return to the hotel.

Day 02

Train Journey to Machu Picchu and Guided Visit

  • Pick up from your hotel two hours before your train departure time, according to train availability, and head to Ollantaytambo or Poroy Station, where we will take the train to the Inca city of Machu Picchu. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
  • Upon arrival at the station in Machu Picchu town, our staff will be waiting for you to give you the necessary instructions to begin the visit to the Archaeological Park of Machu Picchu, according to our scheduled entry time to the Inka Citadel.
  • One hour before entering Machu Picchu, we will take the Consettur bus, which will take us for approximately 45 minutes along the Hiram Bingham road to the control gate of the Citadel. There, our guide will be waiting for you at the indicated time to begin this fabulous experience. You will be accompanied by your guide for approximately 2 and a half hours, during which everything about the Inca City of Machu Picchu will be explained.
  • After finishing our guided tour, we will have an hour to rest and then leave through the control gate to take the Consettur bus back to Machu Picchu town. Once in the village, we will see this beautiful small town decorated with statues of the 13 Incas and stone carvings, and enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the different restaurants in the city.
  • Please approach the train station in Machu Picchu Pueblo 30 minutes before departure to take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting to transfer you to the city of Cusco, at San Francisco Square.

From here, you can take transportation to the hotel, which is not included.

Transfer to Cusco Airport

  • Transfer from the hotel to the airport to board your domestic or international flight.
