Itinerary

1. Day 1: Overland Journey from Cusco to Puno

   • Depart early in the morning from Cusco by tourist bus with an expert guide.

   • Arrive at Andahuaylillas Chapel, often called the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas.” Explore its stunning murals and gold-leaf detailing.

   • Continue to Raqchi, an important archaeological site dedicated to Wiracocha, the Inca deity. Visit the Temple of Wiracocha, granaries, and surrounding structures.

   • Ascend to La Raya Pass at 4,335 meters. Enjoy panoramic views of the Andes and the snow-capped Chimboya Mountain.

   • Proceed to the Pukara Lithic Museum, home to pre-Inca artifacts and sculptures, including the famous Hatunñaqac.

   • Arrive in Puno in the evening and transfer to your hotel.

2. Day 2: Lake Titicaca Tour and Return to Puno

   • Depart from Puno's port for a full-day boat tour on Lake Titicaca.

   • Visit the Floating Islands of the Uros. Learn about their reed-built islands, homes, and traditional lifestyle. Optional reed boat ride available.

   • Continue to Amantani Island. Hike to the main square for panoramic views and cultural insights shared by your guide.

   • Enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by locals, offering regional flavors and warm hospitality.

   • Spend free time relaxing and exploring the tranquil island.

   • Return to Puno by boat in the afternoon.

   • Arrive in Puno and transfer to your hotel or onward travel arrangements.
