10-Day Peru Tour with Inca Trail, Amazon and Lake Titicaca

• Get picked up from your hotel at 1:00 pm to visit the attractive sites of Cusco with a professional guide.

• Visit the Koricancha Palace and Convent of Santo Domingo, a religious center known as "The Temple of the Sun," where you will admire the impressive engineering used in its construction.

• Continue to the Cathedral, a colonial religious monument of extraordinary artistic value.

• See Sacsayhuaman, built 3 kilometres from the city of Cusco, an impressive stone fortress with excellent architecture.

• Visit Qenqo, a ceremonial and ritual center, an arena where sacrifices were made.

• Proceed to Puca-Pucara, an old tambo (resting place) and monitoring point throughout the Inka Empire routes.

• Then visit Tambomachay, built 7 kilometres from the city of Cusco, a ceremonial center dedicated to the cult of water, traditionally known as the place where water rests.

• Complete your sightseeing and return to Cusco at around 6:30 pm.

• Get an early pick-up from your hotel and drive to the train station to board the train to Machu Picchu.

• Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way and begin the two-day hike at around 10:30 am after disembarking.

• Pass the ruins of Chacchabamba (2250 meters) before stopping for a picnic lunch at around 1:00 pm.

• Reach the archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna (2650 meters) for a guided tour and a rest.

• Continue to the Puerta del Sol (Sun Gate or "Inti Punku"), where you might see one of the most beautiful sunsets of your life.

• Continue your hike to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night at a hotel.

• After a very early breakfast, take the first bus from Aguas Calientes to the citadel of Machu Picchu for a sunrise view.

• Reach Machu Picchu in time for sunrise, a truly magical experience. It is the only time of day when the citadel of Machupicchu is tranquil and nearly empty of people.

• Proceed on a guided tour of about two and a half hours, followed by free time to explore Machupicchu, wander around, and have lunch (not included).

• Head to the train station in Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco.

Departs: Between 5:45-6:00 am from Cusco on Day One.

Returns: Between 6:00-8:00 pm on Day Two.

• Transfer from your hotel at 3:00 am. The journey takes approximately 3 hours to the village of Pitumarka, where you will have breakfast.

• Continue the trip to the village of Chilca; from this point, you will start your adventure.

• See beautiful landscapes full of streams, mountains, lakes, snow-capped peaks, and flora and fauna.

• Reach your final destination, Vinicunca or the Rainbow Mountain.

• Take adequate time to capture this magical place in photographs and in your memories.

• In addition to this place, appreciate the Apu Ausangate, the nevado most revered by the Incas.

• Live this magical experience and descend again to have lunch in Chilca.

• Return to the city of Cusco at approximately 6:30 pm.

• Fly from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, Peru's capital city of biodiversity.

• Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, meet a local representative at the airport.

• Start your program with a city visit by bus.

• Go to Puerto Capitanía to board a motorised riverboat and navigate on the Madre de Dios River. During the journey, immerse yourself in a fascinating natural environment; if you are lucky, you might witness ronsocos, caimans, turtles, herons, cormorants, and other animal species in their natural habitat.

• Arrive at the Eco Amazonia Lodge and enjoy an exquisite welcome drink. Settle into your bungalows and have lunch together.

• In the afternoon, accompanied by a specialised guide, visit Monkey Island, a unique place in the heart of the Madre de Dios River, five minutes away from the lodge.

• During the hike, observe extraordinary landscapes with exuberant flora sheltering various monkey species in their natural habitats, such as maquisapas, capuchins, small lion monkeys, frailes, cotos, and other animal species like the coati and sloths, as well as a great variety of birds.

• Complete your visit to the island while enjoying the sunset, with one of the most impressive dusks in the jungle.

• Head back to the lodge and conclude the day with a pleasant dinner.

• Have breakfast and start an adventure in the virgin rainforest, accompanied by a naturalist.

• Go on a hike into the deep jungle to reach the Lost Cocha, which constitutes a refuge and feeding ecosystem for a huge variety of animals.

• Have the chance to observe otters, caimans, turtles, sachavacas (tapirs), birds with multicoloured feathers, the majestic jaguar, and various fish species.

• Head to the extraordinary Observation Deck, from where you will be able to appreciate the immense and magical rainforest.

• Afterwards, enjoy a pleasant canoe ride around the lake and return to the lodge for lunch.

• In the afternoon, pay an optional visit to the local Botanical Garden, or, if you prefer, relax around the pool.

• After a restful night's sleep, the morning begins with the sound of beautiful birdsong from the Amazon paradise.

• Board the flight from Puerto Maldonado to Cusco.

• In the afternoon, take the bus from Cusco to Puno.

• Arrive in Puno and get a transfer to the hotel.

• After breakfast at your hotel, get picked up to start the tour and go to Suasi.

• On the way, visit two islands - Uros and Taquile.

• First, stop at the Uros Islands. Stepping on them feels very much like a water bed, although it is relatively safe. See the houses and meet their friendly inhabitants. The Uros people are descendants of one of the oldest South American groups. Rides on traditional reed boats can be arranged. Visit two of the 60 islands before continuing to Taquile Island.

• After a simple navigation of two and a half hours, enjoy the spectacular views offered by Lake Titicaca.

• Observe the individual community's artwork and meet the women of the community, who are outstanding weavers. Their textile arts have been declared World Heritage by UNESCO.

• Take a long path gradually ascending to the village; the views are unique and worth the visit to the communal cooperative.

• Continue your trip to Suasi Island for an overnight stay.

• After breakfast, continue exploring Suasi Island and observe the pace of the locals' daily life.

• At midday, take the motorboat back to Puno.

• Reach Puno and transfer to Hotel Hacienda Plaza de Armas.

• Head to Juliaca Airport, 1 hour from Puno, and en route visit the Chullpas of Sillustani.

• Visit the archaeological site of Sillustani, located 34 kilometres from the city of Puno.

• Enjoy stunning highland landscapes and imposing pre-Inca architecture. The site is strategically positioned on top of a peninsula surrounded by a beautiful lagoon called Umayo Lagoon. The archaeological site of Sillustani was a cemetery built in the 13th century by a civilisation that occupied the area before Inca domination. The most imposing burial towers were built for chiefs and priests. The cemeteries were considered sacred places.
