I am writing to apply for the Summer Tour Guide position in the Ålesund area.With six years of hospitality experience and ten years of language teaching experience in English and Spanish.I am highly motivated to contribute to creating memorable, engaging and high-quality experiences for your guests in Norway.

My professional experience has given me strong presentation and communication skills as well as the ability to confidently guide and engage diverse groups.As a teacher, I have spent many years presenting information in a clear, engaging and adaptable way, adjusting my approach to different audiences and cultural backgrounds.This experience translates naturally into guiding, storytelling and delivering meaningful insights during tours.

In hospitality roles, I have developed a strong focus on guest satisfaction, flexibility and teamwork in fast-paced environments.I am comfortable taking responsibility, responding calmly to changing situations and ensuring guests feel welcomed, informed and well-cared for throughout their experience.

I am fluent in English (C2) and Spanish (C2), my mother is Spanish and my father British and I have experience working in multilingual environments.I possess a B1 level of Italian and I am currently learning Norwegian as a beginner at A1 level.I am highly motivated to expand my guiding skills through your online education and on-site training, and I am eager to deepen my knowledge of Norway’s landscapes, culture and points of interest.I am available to work full-time throughout the season from April to September and am flexible regarding assignments.Moreover, I am relocating to Ålesund in March 2026 and I already have arranged my accommodation.

I am particularly drawn to this role because it combines cultural exchange, education, nature as well as practically applying my linguistic skills.I am fascinated by Norway and its cultural/historical background as well as its impressive landscapes and commitment to its preservation.I would be delighted to return for future seasons and grow with the company.
