The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and City Tour

  • Our loving, fun, and safe journey starts at the international airport. We will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and premium.
  • After arriving at the hotel, recover from the tiredness of your trip, have lunch, and rest for a while before going on a tour of Ulaanbaatar. The city tour will take you to the beautiful parts of Ulaanbaatar and introduce you to the life and society of the people of Mongolia.
  • After that, we will return to the hotel for dinner. This day ends here. If your flight is late, we will go directly to the hotel for dinner and start the trip early the next morning.
2
Day 02

Genghis Khan Statue and Terelj National Park

  • Wake up at 8:30 am, have breakfast, and start your day happily. Get ready to go out, put on comfortable clothes, get on the bus, travel through other parts of Ulaanbaatar, and then continue to Terelj.

  • On the way, we will visit the statue of Genghis Khan. This is the world's largest equestrian statue at 40 metres high. At the base, there are souvenir shops, a small museum, and other monuments. Visitors can walk upstairs or take an elevator to the deck on the horse's head for a panoramic view over the complex.

  • We will continue our trip to Terelj National Park, one of the most visited and attractive national parks, known for its natural beauty, forested alpine mountains, and famous rock formations. Lunch will be at 13:00.

  • On the way, we will stop at an Ovoo, a rock pile used for religious worship. Then we will check in and have lunch at the tourist camp in one of the most spectacular spots in the national park.

  • In the afternoon, we will explore the national park and visit Turtle Rock, a natural and exciting rock formation that looks like a turtle. We will then continue to the Buddhist meditation temple of Ariyabal, reached by 108 stairs and a wire bridge. The temple is surrounded by scenic mountains and massive rock formations, and you can enjoy the breathtaking view from the top over Terelj National Park.

  • At 18:00, have dinner on the way. Return to the hotel and rest. After this day, the local flights and long journeys on slightly rough desert roads begin, so it is important to be well rested.

3
Day 03

Flight to Dalanzadgad and Local Exploration

  • Wake up at 9 am, have breakfast, and begin your energetic journey. Collect your luggage and go to the airport for your local flight. From there, fly to Dalanzadgad and continue with a 2-hour drive.
  • From Dalanzadgad airport, take a taxi to the hotel. Have lunch at the hotel, then go on a tour around Dalanzadgad. After shopping, visit the museum, have dinner, and sleep at the hotel.
4
Day 04

Yol Valley, Mukhar Shivert, and a Night in the Gobi

  • After the first night in the Gobi, we wake up, have breakfast, pack our clothes, get into our cars, and head to Yol Valley.
  • At the top of the Altai Mountains is the famous Yol Valley, one of the most beautiful places in the region, immortalised in the song "Three Beautiful". It is located about 650 kilometres south of Ulaanbaatar and is named after a rare Mongolian bird. Yol Valley lies at an altitude of more than 2,800 metres above sea level, and the canyon walls rise more than 200 metres. Ice and snow remain in this incredible canyon through all four seasons of the year, where the eternal sun does not shine.
  • Here, you can understand why Mongolia's Gobi is called Gobi rather than simply a desert, and why foreigners love it so much. Next, we will go to Mukhar Shivert. It is one of the nine wonders of the province and has become a place of interest for both domestic and foreign tourists. This is the highest glacier in the beautiful mountains of the east. A small spring flowing from a height of about 10 metres spreads along the rock wall in winter and freezes into a large ice cap. It is a cul-de-sac with almost no sun, so it can remain icy until mid-summer.
  • Drive deep into the mountain and walk 750 metres beyond the parking lot, marked by a unique sign, to reach the beginning of Mukhar Shivert. Along the hiking trail, you can see various animal and bird figures on both sides near the top of the mountain.
  • We will spend the night in a traditional Mongolian home. We will have dinner at the tourist home camp, watch the beautiful night sky full of stars, and make fireworks. Then we will sleep and relax in the incredible Gobi Mountains of Mongolia, leaving unforgettable memories.
5
Day 05

Khongor Sands Desert Experience

  • Today, we do not have to get up early like on the other days. After a long journey, a good rest, breakfast, and some time to relax, we will go to the most fantastic place, Khongor Sands, when the afternoon sun opens up. Khongor Sands is pure desert, where you can ride a camel beneath the golden sand and clear blue sky.
  • You can also ride a horse. After having lunch at a nearby resort, you will begin your journey in the middle of the desert.
  • In the evening, we will return to the resort, and after visiting other unique parts of this sum, we will have dinner and spend the night in a comfortable place near this desert, one of the nine wonders of Mongolia.

Day 06

Return to Gurvan Saikhan and Farewell Evening

  • On this day, we will say goodbye to the dunes and return to Gurvan Saikhan. I hope you have breakfast before leaving. On the way, we will visit White Supra and other beautiful places in the Gobi.

  • The highest mountain in the Gobi Gurvansaikhan Range is Dzungsaikhan Mountain, standing 2,846 metres above sea level. More than 350 vascular plants belonging to 164 species and 48 genera have been recorded in this natural complex, including 48 endemic plants and 11 relict species. Native plants of Central Asia found here include Potanin's pink flowers, desert sedum flowers, and black grass. There are also elms, poplars, sedge forests, cypress groves, and reed thickets. In addition, there are 35 species of rhododendrons, 25 species of composite flowers, 23 species of sorghum, 21 species of sedges, 20 species of legumes, 18 more species of sedges, 10 species of onion, and 8 further species of sedges.

  • The tradition of creation, a rare and unique form of national traditional dance passed down from generation to generation, has been preserved among the western Mongolians, or Oirad, and continues to the present day. This remarkable art was created only by nomads and has never been replicated by anyone else, which is why it has become a treasured form of folk art.

  • We will sleep in a house near Gurvan Saikhan, where we will also have lunch and dinner. As this is the last evening, we will say goodbye, exchange Mongolian souvenirs and small gifts brought from our country, enjoy Mongolian traditional dairy products, dance, and sing. This will bring the day to an end.

7
Day 07

Know before you go

  • Since 2020, the prices of goods have increased by 2.3 times, which has also affected travel, and group tour prices have risen. However, we strive to provide the best service at an affordable price so that your trip does not put a strain on your budget as a traveller.
  • This price includes all travel expenses. We offer guides at the lowest possible rates. A one-day guide normally costs $200 per person, but because we were a large group, we decided to charge $100 per person for the entire trip, which is our biggest discount. There is no need to pay each guide separately, as the price will be divided among 6 guides. During the days of your travels, our team is celebrating its 4th anniversary, so we have made this special offer. We want more people to see the wonderful parts of our country, not just focus on money.
  • We aim to donate money from our small wages to support the education of many herdsmen's children. Our team members are all graduates of leading universities in Mongolia.
  • Our number one mission is safety. Enjoy this trip with your loved ones and have a happy, worry-free journey. See you soon. Your trust is our value.
  • Dalanzadgad Sum, the capital of Umnugovi Province, is 585 km from Ulaanbaatar. Almost 50 percent of the population of Umnugovi Province lives in Dalanzadgad. It is the administrative centre of the province and is connected to all districts by road, communication, and fibre optic cables. There is an internet centre in the province's Federal Office and Gandirs shopping centres. Most of the province's citizens are Buddhist, but there is also a small congregation of believers in Jesus Christ. There is a local museum in the centre of the province, and its branch is at the mouth of Yol. You can learn about the Gobi environment and watch a documentary about the research of the famous American researcher Roy Chapman Andrews in the 1920s at the "Galaxy" cinema in the centre of the province. There is also a micro-museum about Mongolian two-humped camels. In the central part of the province, you can see many trees and plants, as well as many species of tree and bush birds during the spring and autumn bird migration.
