Atlas Mountains Tour
- The excursion starts early morning from Marrakech, heading to Ourika, a splendid valley with its fortify inhabited by the Berber population who have maintained intact their customs and traditions through time.
- Our first stop will be an extraordinary beautiful panoramic view of the green fields of vegetables and cereals, forage and, of course, olives which is a typical product of the valley.
- Then, continue to visit a real berber house to see how Berber people live today, with a mint tea break, after that we will go to setti-fatma raver.
- On our way, we will stop at the cooperative of argan oil, where they hand-crack the argan nuts in between two stones, a technique they've used for centuries.
- Next, drive up off-road through a mountain road where a small walking trek is recommended for 30 minutes in order to admire the beauty of the atlas nature with its different colours red, brown and green with numerous villages where houses have the same colour as the hills because of stones and clay used in buildings.
- Afterwards, head to a small village located at 1800 meters height for lunch in a traditional berber house close to the highest mountain in north africa known as the roof of morocco, reaching 4167 meters to test the real berber gastronomy. The menu includes a berber tagine, couscous and fruits.
- Later, return to Marrakech via the Asni valley and Tahnnaout village.
