Itinerary

1. Day 1: Desert Door

   • Departure from M’hamid at the desert door early in the morning with the camels and their drivers to go and discover the arid countryside. 

   • Lunch picnic in the shade. 

   • After some rest, carry on until Marabout’s tombstone of Sidi Naji. 

   • Then, set up the bivouac where you will spend the evening and the night under the stars or under the tents.

2. Day 2: Cross the Hamada to reach Erg of Ez-Zahar

   • In the morning, after breakfast, cross the Hamada before reaching the Erg of Ez-Zahar. The great dunes have kept their wild and solitary character, and they overlook the most beautiful desert of Morocco.

   • At the foot of these dunes, also called howling dunes, set up the bivouac so that you will be able to climb to admire the sunset.

3. Day 3: Erg of Ez-Zahar

   • Departure from the Erg of Ez-Zahar towards the little dunes of the Erg of Ait ounir 

   • During this day (ride and picnic), you will have the opportunity to enjoy the diversity of the countryside in the desert.

   • Set up the third bivouac at night.

4. Day 4: Join the caravan

   • For the second to last day, the caravan will go on at its own pace along the arid plains.
   • Stop for lunch and an afternoon nap. 
   • Arrive in the late afternoon at the area called Douib. 
   • Set up the camp for the last time under the stars.

5. Day 5: Last day in Desert

   • Leave Douib in the direction of Mhamid. 

   • Enjoy a little more of the vastness, the silence, and the song of your steps on the sand.

   End of trip.
