Itinerary

1. Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Gorge

   • Meet your local tour guide for pick up from Marrakesh.

   • Start your journey and travel towards Dades Gorges across the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, with far-reaching views across the mountains including the High Atlas. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou.

   • Have lunch at Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate where you will have a break to explore the door of the desert and the Atlas studios.

   • Continue crossing the Rose valley through to get to the Dades valley.

   Spend the night at a hotel or guesthouse in Dades Gorges.

2. Day 2: Dades Gorge to Merzouga

   • Go from Dades Gorges to Erg Chebbi Sahara in Merzouga, today. Pass by Tenhir, Todra Gorges, Tinjdad and then Erfoud (an oasis town in the Sahara Desert known for the various forms of fossils) wherein we will feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet.

   • Continue to a hotel in Merzouga. 

   • After relaxing for a few minutes, take some of your luggage in a small bag (the necessary for the night in the desert) and leave the rest in the hotel. This is for a thrilling camel ride ahead by crossing over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. This is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise.

   • Reach the campsite here. Leave the camels behind and walk to the highest sand dunes point for sandboarding and watching the sunset.

   Spend the night in a camp (Berber nomad tents) with drums music in the middle of the Sahara.

3. Day 3: Return to Marrakech

   • Wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes.

   • Ride the camels back to Merzouga.

   • After breakfast and a shower in the hotel, start the journey back to Marrakech through different areas and various Berber villages (Alnif, Tazarine, N’kob) until Ouarzazate. From here, we will use the same road back to Marrakech. Arrive in the evening/night.
