Itinerary
-
Day 1 - Marrakech - Imlil - Toubkal Refuge
- Start the trek from Imlil with your Moroccan trekking guide, where you will meet your muleteers and support crew.
- Follow the trail that climbs quickly to the village of Aremd (1900m).
- Pass a tiny shrine, Sidi Chamharouch, which is a great spot for a picnic lunch. The afternoon is “short”, and after about six hours of total walking time, reach Toubkal Refuge.
The camp for the night is at 3207 m. Showers are available.
-
Day 2 - Toubkal Refuge - Toubkal Summit - Marrakech
- It takes 4 or 5 hours from the camp to Toubkal (4167m), so for that, you will make an early start (5:00 am).
- After walking uphill, enjoy an amazing view all over the High Atlas Mountains.
- After a break of 30 minutes or enjoying some refreshments (nuts, water, oranges), return to base camp by the same route and stay here for a second night or continue to Imlil following the same way down the hill.
Trip ends.
