Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve (230 KM, 4.5 Hours Drive)

   • Depart from Nairobi airport or your accommodation for a scenic drive to Masai Mara National Reserve.

   • Stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photos and to stretch your legs, enjoying views of Mt. Longonot.

   • Continue driving through the Rift Valley floor towards Masai Mara.

   • Arrive in time for lunch at your camp.

   • Embark on your first afternoon game drive starting at 16:00 hrs to spot wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, impalas, and over 500 species of birds.

   Overnight at Zebra Plains Mara Camp, a mid-range tented camp inside Masai Mara NR.

   Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

2. Day 2: Full Day Game Viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve

   • Spend the entire day on game drives exploring the rich savannah grasslands and rolling hills.

   • Enjoy a picnic lunch under a flat-top acacia tree while observing wildlife grazing nearby.

   • Optionally book a hot air balloon ride early in the morning for a unique aerial view of the Mara followed by a bush breakfast.

   • Return to camp in the late evening after a full day of wildlife viewing.

   Overnight at Zebra Plains Mara Camp.

   Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

3. Day 3: Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park (380 KM, 8 Hours Drive or 3 Hours Flight)

   • After breakfast, drive to the Isebania border crossing between Kenya and Tanzania.

   • Complete immigration procedures and meet your Tanzanian driver/guide.

   • Continue to Serengeti National Park, known as the "endless plains," with lunch en route.

   • Arrive at Enkirare Wilderness Camp, a mid-range tented camp inside Central Serengeti NP, in the late afternoon.

   • Receive a safety briefing from your driver and camp manager.

   Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

4. Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

   • Begin with an early morning game drive to catch wildlife activity at its peak.

   • Return to camp for breakfast and lunch, spending midday relaxing.

   • Enjoy an afternoon game drive exploring diverse wildlife and landscapes.

   • Optionally book a hot air balloon ride early morning (inquire with the tour manager).

   Overnight at Enkirare Wilderness Camp.

   Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

5. Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater (230 KM, 4.5 Hours Drive)

   • Start early with a morning game drive before breakfast to experience wildlife in the golden sunrise.

   • Return to camp for a hearty breakfast.

   • Depart for Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, taking a final game drive through Serengeti en route.

   • Arrive at Ngorongoro Lions Paw, a mid-range tented bush camp located on the crater rim.

   • Explore the crater’s vast floor, known for the highest concentration of wildlife including rare black rhinos and large-tusked elephants.

   Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

6. Day 6: Arusha

   • Descend into Ngorongoro Crater early with packed lunch boxes for a half-day game drive.

   • Spot abundant wildlife including approximately 20 black rhinoceros.

   • Ascend from the crater and drive to Arusha, marking the end of your safari.

   • Choose onward travel options: fly from Kilimanjaro Airport or Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport, or continue to Zanzibar for a beach holiday extension.

   Meals: Breakfast only.
