My name is Keiji Hashimoto, a licensed regional English guide.Based in Tanabe City, Wakayama, I guide inbound travelers introduced by travel agencies in Tanabe, Osaka, and Tokyo, as well as through guide-matching platforms such as Airbnb and GoWithGuide, and JTB Global Marketing.My primary guiding areas are Kumano Kodo and Mount Koya.

Over 8 years, I have guided for more than 150 days in total.On Airbnb and GoWithGuide, I have received 100% five-star reviews (out of five) out of the 30 tours.While tours arranged through the travel agencies do not provide feedback to me, I believe I have consistently maintained professional standards.

I decided to become an English guide on the Kumano Kodo because I truly love traveling and nature on Kumano area.I’ve visited  many domestic and overseas spots.Wherever I traveled, I loved to talk to the locals and other travelers and discover hidden places.They helped me to manage problems I encountered. I’ve walked Kumano Kodo more than 200 times, but every time I walk there, I discover something new of beautiful mountain ranges, lush greenery, and chirping of birds.
I want to give back to  Kumano Kodo visitors by providing them local insights and scenery while prioritizing their safety and time management. I believe that my guidance allows the visitors to have an unforgettable and amazing experience on Kumano Kodo. Even after returning home, some groups of guests continue to send me their updates and seasonal messages via the Whats-app we exchanged during the tour.
