  • Highlights of Rome expand_more
    • Meet your guide at the foot of the renowned Spanish Steps in the heart of Rome's fashion district. Hear a brief history of the steps and the beautiful neighbourhood, once known as the 'English Quarter', that has seen the likes of everyone from Ernest Hemingway to Lady Gaga stroll through the streets.
    • Make your way to what is surely the most recognisable fountain in the world, the Trevi Fountain. You will see the fountain illuminated by the modern lighting from under the waterline which lends the statues an almost ethereal air which leaves many people saying that the fountain is in fact more beautiful after dark.
    • Then, head to Pantheon Temple which is one of the most impressive archaeological achievements of all time. Completed in the early second century, it has remained in constant use even to this day.
    • Depart to Piazza Navona after that, soak in some of the best that Roman Baroque architecture has to offer. Elegant fountains by Bernini meet stately palaces and together offer one of the most striking views in the city.
    • Proceed to Largo di Torre Argentina which preserves the historic spot at which Julius Caesar was assassinated. Interestingly, this site is a modern-day cat sanctuary so don't forget to look out for the local kittens playing amongst the ancient ruins.
    • The final stop on the tour is Piazza Venezia and the site of the Vittoriano, also known as the Monument to Victor Emanuel II. This stunningly lit monument has become a symbol of Rome with its white exterior acting as a shining beacon in the Roman landscape.
