Located in the medieval heart of Galway, St. Nicholas Collegiate Church has been at the focal point for the city's history for the past 700 years. Come and discover the rich history of the church and the famous people associated with it. It is here that we will discover the oldest woking parish church in Galway City, its assiosation with the Knights Templar and the tomb of the crusader.

Stop 02: Lynch Memorial Window
Discover the darker and horrible side of the City of the Tribes, it and come and hear the legendary story of where James Lynch hung his son Walter for murder and the history behind the phrase of Lynching, Lynched and Lynch Mob. Come and discover the city's connection with Che Guvera and Latin America.

Stop 03: Buttermilk Lane
Located on one of the famous lanes in the city Buttermilk Lane was the site of the former Butter and Milk Market of the city. Buttermilk Lane has witnessed a lot of history over the centuries witnessing the legendary Daniel O'Connell lodging here and hear of the stories that it has witnessed.

Stop 4: An Taibhdhearc Theatre
Founded in 1928 An Taibhdhearc is the national Irish language theatre of Ireland. Home to a tradition of Irish Language plays and theatre productions for almost a century. The word Taibhdhearc appears as a gloss for the Latin teatrum (theatre) in an old Irish document, derived from roots meaning "dream" and "glance." The modern Irish for a theatre is amharclann.

One of the most prominent buildings in Galway, the King's Head holds a rich history that spans 800 years. Come and see the fireplace from 1612, and hear the story behind the execution of Charles I by Oliver Cromwell. If the walls of this building could talk.

Home of the Claddagh Ring Museum and the World's smallest Claddagh Ring, our stop here will introduce you to the history and origin of the ring and its symbol of Love, Loyalty and Friendship.

Stop 08: Naughton's Pub (Tigh Neachtain)
Located on the junction of Cross Street and Quay Street Tigh Neachtain has been on the corner of history for the past 250 years. From its ownership by Richard Martin and the Martin Familly since 1754 through to modern times this stop has stories of animal rights, arts, history and culture.

This medieval street has seen a rich history of Theatre, industry, and convents and has a sense of serenity that will put anyone at ease.

Stop 10: River Corrib
As we journey towards the Spanish Arch and our final stop we will take a walk along the River Corrib and discover the industry behind what made Galway a powerhouse between the 16th and 19th Centuries.

Stop 11: Spanish Arch
Finishing at the Spanish Arch, one will discover the history behind the city's port and fish market. During this visit, one will discover the history behind its name, see the fastest-flowing river in an urban setting, and the site of the old Claddagh village.
