I am a registered professional Blue Badge Guide recognized by the Institute of Tourist Guiding.Guiding is a fantastic way to earn a living as one gets to meet so many interesting people in the course of showing them the delights of this country! I was born in London and after living in West Africa and in Scotland returned to the city over 30 years ago.I have done a number of tours in areas outside London such as Bath, Canterbury, Oxford, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, and Windsor.However, I especially enjoy guiding in London, guiding in such sites as St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey (only Blue Badge Guides are allowed to guide in these venues), the National Gallery etc.I also conduct guided walks in the City of London and the City of Westminster. One of my more popular tours is the Black London Experience, touching on areas such as the effects of the slave trade and some people of color who have made an impact on the life of this country.The tour includes a visit to the National Portrait Gallery near Trafalgar Square.This tour may be of interest for those looking for a different take on this great city.
