Itinerary

1. Day 1: Lençois, Capital of the Diamond Area

   • Start your tour by visiting Lençois, a former diamond-mining town. 

   • Then, visit the Salão de Areias Coloridas (Room of Coloured Sands), where rock formations deposit multi-coloured sands on the floor of the 'rooms' and then on to the Primavera waterfall, on the Rio Lençois.

   • If the weather permits, follow the trail to the "Ribeirão do Meio" natural waterslide, a unique natural phenomenon of the river as it flows down the mountain slope.

   • In the afternoon, explore the local craft shops and see the precious stones and jewellery of the region.

   Overnight at the Pousada Trilha. 

2. Day 2: Tour of the Region (Car and Walk)

   • Drive across the northern part of Chapada Diamantina National Park towards the 'Fazenda' where you will find the Mosquito Waterfall. Here enjoy the fantastic views or swim in the river amidst the surrounding flora.

   • Afterwards, have a delicious lunch.

   • Then, walk to Rio Mucugezinho, and its famous Poço do Diabo (the well of Devil). 

   • Upon arrival, swim for about 50 metres to reach the bottom of the waterfall.

   • From here, head to the iconic picture-postcard image of Chapada, the mountain of Pai Inácio.

   • Return to Lençois in the afternoon.

3. Day 3: Capão Valley, Fumaça Waterfall & Riachinho Waterfall

   • Have breakfast and head to Capão Valley and the Fumaça Waterfall for a hike to witness the rich flora that the valley has.

   • Reach the magnificent canyon of Fumaça, one of the most majestic landscapes in the world.

   • Here, enjoy a picnic lunch.

   • Afterwards, head to the Riachinho Waterfall and enjoy a nice cool dip in the waters.

   • Return to Lençois late in the afternoon.
