    • Begin with a pick you up by your Brazil tour guide from your hotel/airport/seaport of your preference and go on a 1-1:30 hour drive up the mountains to get to Petropolis.

    • Make the first stop there at Quintandinha Palace, a former casino/hotel with stunning architecture.

    • Head to the Imperial Museum, which used to be summerhouse to the former Emperor and his court, during the 19th century.

    • Follow this by a nice walk through the streets to the Metropolitan Cathedral and the house where Santos Dumont, the inventor of the aeroplane, lived.

    • Have lunch and head to the Bohemia Brewery, for some good beer tasting.

    • Optional stop at the chocolate shop to try the local sweets and a look at the curious Ipiranga House, known as “The House of 7 Errors” due to its curious architecture.
