Maracajaú is a community and beach located in the Brazilian city of Maxaranguape, the state of Rio Grande do Norte. With a population of approximately 2,000 people, the main source of income is fishing followed by tourism. The Rio Grande is one of the principal rivers in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. The Rio Grande begins in south-central Colorado in the United States and flows to the Gulf of Mexico. After passing through the length of New Mexico along the way, it forms part of the Mexico–United States border. Go on a tour of Maracajau beach which is a popular spot for snorkeling and watching pleasant sights like the river meeting the sea. You can also relax at the Punaú beach that is full of coconut trees and dunes.
