Call all thrill-seekers who think they have experienced it all; here's the unique experience of ziplining in the night by moonlight. The shortest slide is 90 meters and the longest slide is 320 meters.
We were a group of 45 visiting South Africa in November 2018, Maher was our guide for garden route & Capetown. He was very courteous, informative, helpful & patient with us. Would highly recommend him.
We had the pleasure to spend 3 days with Maher in Cape Town and the surrounding area. He's the kind of person tourists like from the word go. Charming, knowledgeable, with a personal approach to every tourist (and this wasn't a small group, 15 peolpe from Bulgaria). He did his best to make the time we had in Cape Town unforgettable. Maher even called a couple of days later, just to ckeck if we're doing OK.
I'll definitely request him as a guide on my next visit to the Cape.
We were in Stellenbosch for a meeting and had one day to see some sights in Cape Town. Maher came to us well recommended by members of my family who had worked closely with him while on a six week work stint in Cape Town. Maher crafted a custom tour for our group that gave us a taste of the land and people. He was knowledgeable about the history of the town and he is a great story teller. He was easy to contact on WhatsApp and through email. He was punctual, courteous, humorous and freindly. It was a pleasure getting a glimpse of Cape Town with Maher as our guide. I hope that I will be able to return to Cape Town sometime soon and have Maher help us plan our itinerary!
We were a large group of 10 people (3 families traveling on a family reunion). We found Maher on tourHQ, and contacted him due to his excellent reviews. Maher was extremely responsive from the start, and helped fine tune our itinerary. He had some good advice for us. For instance we had initially planned to do shark cage diving in Gansbaai. Maher advised us that due to Orca sightings in the area, the shark sightings were a bit more limited in the area and suggested we go a bit further to Mossel Bay. This proved to be excellent advice. He also suggested we take a pit stop at a zip lining facility, which was one of the highlights of our trip!
He arranged a clean minibus for us, and kept us largely on scheduled whilst also being flexible and rearranging the schedule when we decided to change things around.
Overall, we had a great experience. The Cape town and garden route leg of our South Africa trip would not have been the same without him.
A last minute descison, but thank god Mr Maher was available for that day. Though it was just a day tour, I didn't realize that I could learn and explore so much with him. Plans and itenary of the tour went well! I usually fall asleep in some tours in other countries, but for the first time I stayed awake feeling more interested about the history and background of the place he shared as we travelled along. Will definitely recommend Mr Maher for this tour.
We hope to return back to Cape Town for more longer days tours with our family, inshallah. Can't wait to go back to South Africa!
It was a last minute arrangement to search for a tour guide as it was during the peak season. No regrets as Mr Maher is very experienced guide and shared lots of historical background along the way to Cape Point, Simon's Town,Chapman's Peak and many more within a day.He provided personalised tour with vast knowledge and information about the history and interesting sights. He is very accommodating and able to customise according to our budget.Nonetheless ,will definitely make a comeback to visit Capetown and other provinces which Mr Maher has recommended .This time with a bigger group, definitely! Cheers.
It is my pleasure to recommend Maher Edwards, who was kind enough to drive us around CapeTown and to the Aquila Safari on South St, Touws River. Maher went out of his way and put a lot of thought and effort to make my travel for my 2 months in Cape Town very comfortable. He has a combination of a positive attitude, knowledge about local surroundings and the ability to sense the group morale and that is rare to come by, but also essential to pursuing a career in travel. I am confident that he will continue to equally warm and welcoming to any other individual orgroup of visitors to Cape Town because I’ve personally experience his commitment and diligence in everything he does.
I had only one day in Capetown and wanted to see as much as possible so I asked Maher to do a custom tour to fit in the main sights. I was alone and felt very safe and comfortable with Maher, he has a lot of knowledge on the flora, fauna and all the sites. We drove along a beautiful panoramic tour, visited the small fisherman villages, went to see the African penguins, went to the Cape of Good Hope, up to the Table Mountain and had an amazing sunset viewing. We managed a lot in one day thanks to Maher's great planning skills and short cuts! I would highly recommend him as a guide.
Maher was fantastic! We did safari and abseiling with him and he was very engaging on the tour!! He knows South Africa very well more than any other guide! On our way to safari, we stopped in different places that we would never know about if Maher wasn't our guide! With him, you will get to explore the real Cape Town. He was very informative and at the same time made it entertaining for all of us. We would highly recommend Maher for your future. Thanks!
Safaris, museums, markets and mountains have each offered my friends and me a delightful taste of Cape Town, but a tour with Maher is a full course meal.
On our drive to the Aquila Safari reserve, Mr. Edwards intertwined his personal pre- and post-Apartheid experiences with the landmarks, farms, people and natural wonders that we crossed along the journey; he’s a natural storyteller and willing to go beyond our expectations to paint a rich and meaningful perspective of the country. We stopped for fresh grapes, jumped into the river along the road and made scenic detours. Mr. Edwards made our trip incredibly memorable - one of my favorite experiences during my stay in Cape Town.
I first met Maher when he was my driver to and from work each morning last May and June during my internship in Cape Town. During that time, I got to know Maher more and more and it became very clear that he was someone with a very deep knowledge of Cape Town, a natural story teller and was always willing to suggest something for my us to do on the weekends. He went over and above his reponsibilities as a driver, taking me and my group to the Rhodes memorial on the way home from work one day, driving us to a safari resort one weekend, and going abseiling with us another weekend. Maher has all the contacts for activities in and around Cape Town. I would highly recommend him to any tourist visiting Cape Town wanting someone to show them the sights of the city and the area.
We are entirely happy and overwhelmed by the wonderfu experience provided by Maher. He is knowledgable, courtueos and polite. We never expected Cape Town to have such a rich cultural heritage as experience with Maher.
We wish him well and would recommend him to all our friends.
Maher is Lekker man! He is a very respectful and positive person who's knowledge of South Africa, particularly Cape Town, is perfect for any traveller who needs to find fun times in that beautiful country!
