Hoa Lư Ancient Capital and Tam Cốc Countryside Tour

07:30 - 08:00: Pick-up at your accommodation in Hanoi's Old Quarter.
08:30: Head out on the drive to Ninh Bình province.
10:00: Arrive at the ancient capital of Hoa Lư.
10:15: Visit the temples of King Đinh and King Lê, built to show the gratitude of Vietnamese people to the two kings of Đại Việt (the old name of Vietnam), Đinh Tiên Hoàng (Đinh Bộ Lĩnh) and Lê Đại Hành (Lê Hoàn) in the 10th century.
11:30: Arrive at Tam Cốc wharf, a popular tourist destination in North Vietnam and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
11:45: Enjoy a buffet lunch featuring Vietnamese cuisine.
13:00: Take a 1.5-hour sampan boat trip through the caves and countryside landscape.
15:00: Return to Tam Cốc wharf for a short break.
15:15: Bike around the countryside villages.
16:00: Leave for Hanoi.

Wear shoes and short trousers for the cycling part of the tour.

Know before you go

The tour departs daily from Hanoi's Old Quarter. If your hotel is located in the Hanoi Old Quarter area (Hoàn Kiếm District), we will pick you up from your hotel. If your hotel is not located in the Hanoi Old Quarter area, please meet at our pick-up point: Number 20, Hàng Muối Street, Hoàn Kiếm District, Hanoi, Vietnam.
If you do not want to join the tour's biking segment, you can relax in the restaurant with a coffee or visit a local market.
Please note that you will be sitting in a bamboo sampan boat for around 90 minutes with a local rower during the visit to Tam Cốc Cave.
