Highlights
  • Spot elands, zebras and impalas in Serengeti National Park
  • Know about the mythical powers of the Baobab trees in Tarangire
  • See wild animals in the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater
  • Meet the Hadzabe ethnic group, one of the last living hunter-gatherers
  • Day 1: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park & Great Rift Valley expand_more
    • You will be picked up by your tour guide from your hotel in Arusha. Start driving towards Lake Manyara National Park. The park derived its name from the Maasai word “Manyara”, which is the Swahili name for the plant, Euphorbia tirucalli. The Maasai use this plant to grow livestock stockades, which matures to a highly durable stock-proof hedge.
    • Stop at a viewpoint to see the Great Rift Valleys, part of a fault in the earth’s crust which stretches 8,000 kilometres (4,971 miles) from Turkey to the mouth of the Zambezi River in Mozambique. The fault is so massive that when astronauts landed on the moon, the Rift Valley was clearly visible to them.

    • Arrive at Lake Manyara National Park and go for a game drive.

    Meals: Lunch & Dinner
    Accommodation: Tloma Lodge or other

  • Day 2: Serengeti National Park expand_more
    • After breakfast, proceed to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park, famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers a remarkable game-viewing experience in Africa.
    • Arrive at the park and go for game drives to spot wildlife including the impalas, elands, long-neck giraffes, and many more.

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Acacia Seronera Luxury Camp or other

  • Day 3: Serengeti Central expand_more
    • After breakfast, proceed to the central part of Serengeti. This park is well-known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the "Big Five", named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos.

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

    Accommodation: Acacia Seronera Luxury Camp

  • Day 4: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater expand_more
    • Proceed towards the Ngorongoro Crater where you will start with an early morning game drive inside the crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and various species of birds. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point.

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Farm House Lodge or other

  • Day 5: Lake Eyasi expand_more
    • Depart Ngorongoro Crater for Lake Eyasi to visit the bushmen and observe their activities such as hunting and wild fruit gathering. The Hadza or Hadzabe is an indigenous ethnic group in north-central Tanzania. They live in Lake Eyasi in the central rift valley and the neighbouring Serengeti Plateau. The Hadza is just under 1,000 in the population living as hunter-gatherers, among the last hunter-gatherers in the world.

Accommodation: Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge or other

  • Day 6: Lake Eyasi - Tarangire National Park expand_more
    • Proceed to Tarangire National Park, one of the largest national parks in Tanzania located in the Manyara region. This place is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially known for the Tarangire river which flows all year round and is the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.
