Learn about the history and cultivation of Oolong tea as well as be a part of hands-on experience in a Taiwanese tea ceremony. You will be contributing to NGO programs (held at this teahouse) sponsored by Rotary International that will help local senior citizens live a more rich and fuller life. Proceeds of your tea house experience will be donated to The Senior Charity Association. In Taiwan, tea is traditionally consumed hot with nothing added. It is enjoyed at social gatherings with friends or family at home or at a traditional tea house. The steps to making tea have been perfected over centuries. Also known as "kung-fu tea," this tea ceremony is less "ceremonial" like the Japanese, but more focused on the preparation of each tea in order to coax out the maximum potential of the tea's aroma and flavour. Taiwan produces one of the best tea in the world, Oolong.
